My journey into the world of fashion is deeply rooted in my family's legacy. It began in the late 1930s, when my grandfather, the late LG Naik, immigrated from India to Zambia. Through sheer determination, grit and vision, he took on a manufacturing company and created a product base - one that catered to everyone, and was worn by everyone... from little tykes to school age students to adults to in fact the President of Zambia at the time, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda.

I grew up watching my grandfather and listening to his stories - how he came from absolutely nothing, how he left home at a very young age and set off to explore new opportunities to support his family back home. During my formative years in Zambia, I watched him pour his heart into creating an empire. This was a man who never missed a day of work. This was also a man who dressed as sharp as the sharpest tool in your shed - Always in a 3 piece suit. Never not in a suit.
